Well done to TEAM ALPHA who won the Team Races, Freddie Otton & Will Myers & well done to TEAM BETA, Colette Carpenter, Oliver Wells & Andrew Slaney. A great day was had with the sun shining for once. Well done to Colette for being the 10th fastest skier on the day & to George Schmidt for 20th fastest skier. End of season presentation was well attended with a BBQ, entertainment and a great live band. Team Snowtrax stole the Boys Under 7 medals, Owen Oakes 1st, Callum Ross 2nd and Freddie Ravenscroft 3rd, Well done boys. Excellent raffle with some great prizes from Salomon.

Southampton 1st August 2009

Southampton Race was a day full of events, one it just rained all day long but everybody was still smiling…just, timing gear had a few hic cups in the morning, after lunch a young lady had a fall (she is ok nothing broken) so decided the race will be stopped, so no head to head races. Well done to all for your support and commitment. See you at Aldershot 12th September, don’t forget end of season presentation after.

Bromley 13 June 2009

A great day skiing at Bromley, lovely sunny day. Although the day did have a few ups and DOWNS!! First mishap was Bailey Oakes who had a fall and injured his knee. Well done to Ryan L, Ryan M & Oscar for making the under 11 A Team, well done to Darren, Freddie, Dan & George for making the over 11 A Team, although George & Dan did not get to ski as Freddie had a fall and injured her arm. Fun Teams, well done to Nicole who won the fun team race with her fellow skies from other clubs. Over all 3 gold medals and 4 silver medals. Next race 11th July at Team Snowtrax. We are looking for volunteers for the day. Please see Dave C or Donna for details.

A BIG well done to all racers at Southampton, what a great skiing. Well done to under 11 A Team, Kieran Eagle, Alex Marks King and Ryan Long & over 11 A Team Darren Schmidt, Freddie Otton, George Schmidt & Colette Carpenter. The fun team race was won with the assistance of Byron Appleton (Teapot) and the runner up team was assisted by Jessica Tubbs. Team Snowtrax came home with 9 medal. Excellent job.

2008 TEAM SNOWTRAX RACE RESULTS

A few highlights from last year as follows:

Male Under 7's - Bailey Oakes 2nd overall and Byron Appleton 3rd overall (fantastic result)

Male 7-8's - Ryan McCann 1st overall and Kieran Eagle 2nd overall (excellent skiing)

Male 9-10's - Elliot Scholes-Walsh 6th overall out of 26 (his first race season, awesome)

Female 13-14's - Freddie Otton 4th overall with Charlotte pushing her all the way gaining 5th overall (well done girls)

Male 13-14's - George Schmidt 4th overall and Oliver Wells 10th overall out of 29 (Oliver’s first race season - well done)

Female 17-19's A clean sweep for Team Snowtrax - Colette 1st (quickest in the entire region at Aldershot), Tash 2nd and Kirsty 3rd overall - Well done ladies, a great result for the team.

Male 20 - 30's - (I know I look a lot younger) Dan 2nd overall (so he lies about his age!!)

Female 20 - 30's - Janet McKrill 2nd and Jenny Carpenter 3rd overall (both great results considering you couldn't train as much as you both wanted due to work commitments)

Male 31-49 - Darren 2nd overall

Female 31 -49 - Helen 1st overall

Male 50 + - Phil Blake 4th overall and Nigel Lawson 5th overall (top result gents, proving that it's not just for the young ones)….

Team Results:

Under 11's A Team - This consisted of Ryan McCann, Oscar Cluett, Elliot Scholes-Walsh, Alistair Lawson, James Parks, Ryan Long and many more over the course of the season and they won several team finals, most notable the last race at Christchurch. A special mention goes to Ryan McCann, Ryan Long and Oscar Cluett - nothing like winning at your home slope.

Over 11's A Team - This was made up from Colette Carpenter, George Schmidt, Dan McKrill, Freddie Otton, Lewis Cluett, Charlotte Otton.
We had a great season and won two meetings, Aldershot & Christchurch. Again another great feeling, winning at your home slope and also beating some of the best racers in the country who are on the GB race team.

Thanks to all of you who supported the teams and individual racers, it makes it that bit more special hearing your cheers for Snowtrax…………..
